Great service and reasonable price. In addition to the AC repair, they inspected my 10 year old Honda Pilot and documented every item that’s wearing out with pictures, pricing, and an option to repair. Although I declined everything except the AC repair it was good to know about all impending breakdowns! After I authorized the AC repair they did the work quickly and even found a way to repair a leak instead of replacing a part which saved a couple hundred dollars. I feel like they did good work at a reasonable price. August 2022. The brake lights on my son’s Kia Forte would not turn off. Optimum did an outstanding job of diagnosing and fixing a worn brake light switch pad. I'll be back to these guys next time I need work on any of my vehicles. I can't say enough good things about this shop. Maranda at the front desk is incredibly helpful. She always takes the time to explain everything clearly and efficiently, and she does it with kindness and understanding. The mechanics are equally impressive. They treat my car with care, keep things clean, and get the work done quickly without cutting corners. I truly appreciate the integrity of this place. I never feel pressured or taken advantage of, which is rare to find in the auto repair world. Their prices are fair (often better than other shops I've checked) and there are no surprise fees. They provide full transparency, including photos of any issues they find, so you always know exactly what’s going on. Takis is very professional and respectful. He knows his customers by name and takes care of you like family. I am usually very skeptical of mechanics, especially when going in for routine maintenance, but Takis is very upfront and clear about what his is doing with your car. He communicates expertly throughout the process and charges a fair price for the work to be completed. He is the only mechanic we have ever had come in below the original estimate; he is honest and only performs repairs that need to be done. I always took my car to the dealership before I was introduced to Takis and Optimum through my employer. I knew I paid more for the dealer but trusted their craftsmanship and diagnostics. No more! My 3 personal cars and I are diehard Optimum fans now. Takis is honest, fair, and stands by his work. He says things like “you don’t need that now but next time you will want to get it done.” He has consistently recommended what is best for the customer and not what will run the bill higher. I have had a troublesome Check engine light in my 20 year old Lexus and Takis has worked with me to avoid a major repair and high cost workorder. If you are looking for an honest, fair auto repair shop, check them out. I am sure glad I found them… ~ Michael R

Takis has been my mechanic for 10+ years I will not trust my vehicles to anyone else he’s helped me maintain my truck in awesome shape any issues I have they are always addressed even when I can’t describe the right sound he can usually tell me over the phone what the problem could be. Even if he’s super busy he’ll always do his best to squeeze you in to make sure you’re taken care of. I like when he fixes the issues he’ll show you the parts that have been replaced he always calls with an estimate before doing any jobs and gives you his honest opinion and options. My 4 y/o loves to visit even just to say hi and pick up a cherry Coke. Bottom line if you want someone who is honest Optimum is the place to go. ~ Irene J

Update 2025: Went back to Blue Ridge Auto in Chamblee after our 2016 F150 was acting up after we had to have the engine replaced in another city. Not only did they do the work in record time, Maranda spent time walking me through everything & working directly with the warranty company to get some of the costs covered. Hands down the only place I'll take my vehicles to in the future. Highly recommend! Thank you Maranda! Patrick is the best. He took his time and explained everything to me and helped me prioritize what work should be done now vs what can wait. Even called me back after we approved the quoted work and found some savings because the access to an area was easier than estimated. 10/10 would recommend. I’ll be back in a couple months to have them continue to work on my 2001 Xterra. ~ Jennifer O

Blue Ridge Automotive was the best experience I’ve ever had with any auto repair company. They were honest, continued to keep me updated throughout the day, did a complete diagnostic on my auto. Originally I took my car for service at the Ford dealership only to realize they had not provided the services I had paid for. Numerous unnecessary trips back and forth and careless poor quality work. BLUE RIDGE AUTOMOTIVE finished the repairs in a timely fashion, let me know the incorrect battery was installed in my vehicle done by the dealership that had caused some of the problems my car was having and replaced the battery with the correct size battery. I am glad I found this shop. I was having issues with my engine periodically misfiring. I first made the mistake of taking it to a AAA shop where, for $120, they told me nothing was wrong with my engine. A friend told me about Optimum and when I arrive the proprietor got in the car with me for a test drive. He experienced the issue and right away the said he knew what was wrong, and he was correct, I had a defective ignition coil. Now my car runs as great as ever. I also ask for them to do an oil change, but I was informed that my oil still looked good and recommended against it. How many places do you know that will turn down business? My car has a new doctor and it is Optimum Auto Repair. ~ John B

Being a ver impatient consumer i have bought a few cars off craigslist without having them inspected prior to purchase. Mechanics have a reputation of being dishonest or ripping people off, Nor the owner here! Takis went above and beyond to try. And save me money by researching why my year make and model could have a check engine light on, found out that in a few states they extended the warranty for check engine light for up to 120k miles and found a number for me to contact mitsubishi to have them fix it for free so i would have to pay for reoair at his shop! How many meechanics do you know would pass up opprotunity to make money off someone? I recommend his shop to any and all of my friends and family! ~ Chuck C

The automation used to keep the customer connected throughout the entire process is off the chain! These guys literally go over and above the call of duty to provide exceptional service to its customers. I’ve never found a good mechanic before, so car repairs were always troublesome for me. After looking online and finding a mechanic with a 4.9, I needed to see if that was real or not. I’ve had to go there for 3 different issues already, but the people there are great!! They are up front, extremely honest and want to help you save as much as you can while getting auto work done. The opposite of most places that try and up sell you, they try to save you money. The work is great and they’re typically pretty fast, the employees seem passionate and excited about working and fixing cars. I don’t think I’ll go to any other mechanic while I live in Atlanta!! ~ noah c

I've been taking my cars to Optimum for at least 5 years and have only great things to say about Takis and his team. He is fast, honest, and has good prices, but most importantly, my cars always run well forever. He kept my 2005 Chevy Colorado running to over 215k miles until I sold it. Anyone who knows this truck understands what an incredible feat this is. The joke about having a good auto mechanic has been part of pop culture since cars were invented and it really is great to have a good mechanic who will keep your car running forever and ever. I recommend everyone take their cars to Optimum for everything from an oil change to a transmission replacement. ~ Daniel M

I took my Audi to Optimum to do my timing belt and water pump. The dealer had quoted me $2200 and told me they would need the car for a couple of days. I called this shop after reading the reviews and was quoted $1000 which is less than half of what the dealer quoted me. I took the car in on a Tuesday morning and they gave me a ride to the Chamblee Marta station. I got a phone call late in the afternoon telling me my car was ready. I picked up the car the next morning as I had already arranged a ride home and so far haven't had any problems. So I got a great price and they had the car ready very quickly. Needless to say, I highly recommend Optimum Auto Repair! ~ Samuel S

It’s been over 6 months since I first brought my vehicle to BlueRige Automotive to get fixed. And I loved it!! The service was excellent and they were patience with me breaking it down on what was wrong with my car. The people are super nice and friendly!! To this day, I still continue to bring my vehicle here if need to be fixed. They are knowledgeable, honest, straight forward and the price is reasonable! Their waiting area is super clean and comfortable! Excellent customers service and very professional!!! Highly Recommended!!! Takis and his shop are AWESOME. They say that when you move to a new town, you need to find a couple of go-to service providers - barbers, doctors, and a really auto repair shop. We moved to ATL recently and are so happy that we found Optimum! Takis explains all of the suggested repairs clearly and uses an awesome computer interface to itemize and prioritize the repairs. He charges very fair prices and does quick work. I cannot say enough positive things about him. Amazing place !! First gonna start with customer service and how they are helpful and patient never feel a different when i call. maranda and diamond answer they both the meaning of best customer service … second i was having issue with my warranty company even if they took from them the money but they always care about me and fix my car not just go with the car warrany they actually did what the car needed to be perfect not what warrany company recommended so it move the car and dont care about my safety they actually did the best for me , car go from broken can’t move to move very smooth I recommend it to everyone ~ Yassin A

Was very pleased with the service I received here. I was impressed with their transparent breakdown of costs and fast service. I needed a part ordered for my car which came sooner than expected. I appreciated being able to drop my car off overnight without hassle. I would 100% be returning should I need any repairs done to my vehicle. Also, they followed up with me after the repair to ensure everything was working well which was a nice touch. I really have no complaints about my experience. Maranda is excellent at her job. I came in for the first time a couple weeks ago and had to leave my car during work. Blue Ridge is amazing in that they send you a list of things during their inspection that you can approve or deny!!! With prices! Love the transparency and ease, especially while at work. Upon picking up my car, Maranda was super helpful in explaining all of my questions and being a warm ray of sunshine. She is very professional and pleasant to interact with. I was convinced my car was a goner but the guys here did an incredible job! The underneath of my car has a lot of superficial rust and other shops refused to replace my wheel bearing in fear that more things would break. However being from Indiana and seeing much worse rust literally eating away at the metal, I knew this had to be fixable but no one wanted to try. This place was my last hope before giving up. As a women, it can be intimidating visiting a car shop. I worry I may be convinced of things I do not need or treated poorly because I don’t understand. But these guys were so professional and kind. They brought me underneath my car on the lift and explained everything to me. They were super patient with me, and my step dad who I had on FaceTime with me asking questions. In a matter of days they had replaced my wheel bearing, and a few other little things at a great price that they worked with us on! Definitely will be returning ✨ ~ Nicole M

Optimum is the best auto shop in Atlanta, hands down! I actually went to Optimum Auto Repair because of the reviews that I found online when I first moved here about 2-3 months ago. I could not believe the service that TAKIS provided. Seriously this guy is one of the most genuine mechanics/human beings I have ever met. TAKIS is ALWAYS straight up and honest with you no matter what. He will do the job right and he actual cares about his customers. You MUST go to Optimum Auto Repair for all your auto needs. Recently took my daughter’s vehicle for Diagnostic of repairs needed to Blue Ridge Automotive of Chamblee repair shop. Greeted by the Service Advisor , “Maranda Miller” , whom was Professional and Courteous! She Coordinated with me on the repairs I want done, and kept me informed of the timeline in which the Vehicle’s Repairs would be completed. The mechanics did an Excellent Job with the repairs.
